What medical entities does Leepi.ai recognize?
The universal NER model covers 200 entity types across 18 domains, including drug names (metformin, lisinopril), diseases (diabetes mellitus, hypertension), lab tests (HbA1c, creatinine), anatomy terms, clinical abbreviations, procedures, and pharma entities. The model is a single custom-trained spaCy pipeline that replaces three separate models — running at 70 MB instead of 430 MB.
How does medical spell correction work?
The query spell corrector uses pyspellchecker with a curated dictionary of 1,830 medical terms including drug names, diseases, lab tests, anatomy, abbreviations, and procedures. These terms are protected from being "corrected" to non-medical words during query processing. For example, "metformin" and "hba1c" are preserved exactly as typed. Medical terms are loaded when RAG_SPELL_CORRECTOR_MEDICAL_TERMS is enabled.
Is Leepi.ai HIPAA-compliant?

The platform uses encrypted connections (TLS), httpOnly JWT cookies, and per-account brute force protection.
